Connecticut drag fans treated to a double dose of Tatianna from RuPaul's Drag Race

Connecticut’s vibrant drag community was treated to a double dose of glamour and talent as Tatianna, the beloved icon from RuPaul’s Drag Race, graced the stage for the second consecutive night in the state. Following a captivating performance at Partners Cafe in New Haven the previous evening, Tatianna made her triumphant return, this time stopping at the Chez Est in Hartford, much to the delight of drag fans eager to bask in her charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent.

The Chez Est is well acquainted with drag royalty, having played host to a plethora of RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni. This electrifying event, dubbed The Rise of the Phoenix, was orchestrated by DCJR Events. It unfolded within the venue’s enhanced surroundings since they recently upgraded to a brand-new, larger stage with features reminiscent of Drag Race’s main stage. As anticipation mounted, VIP ticket holders seized the opportunity to personally connect with the drag icon during an exclusive meet-and-greet session, capturing cherished moments through snapshots alongside the star.

Tatianna, a standout queen hailing from RuPaul’s Drag Race, mesmerized audiences with her irresistible charm, dazzling runway ensembles, and flawless lip-sync performances. Emerging as a star during the show’s second season, Tatianna showcased remarkable versatility, effortlessly transitioning from glamour to sass with ease. Her impeccable style and commanding stage presence endeared her to fans across the globe. Tatianna’s journey continued in the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars, where she cemented her status as a drag icon, exuding unwavering confidence and captivating charisma.

The evening unfolded with Tatianna’s presence infusing the venue with an extra layer of excitement and allure. However, the spotlight wasn’t solely reserved for the renowned guest. Local drag luminaries also shone brightly, showcasing their talents alongside Tatianna in a dazzling display of performance artistry.

Among the stellar cast lineup was Natalia Fierce, whose stage presence exuded confidence and charm, Angel Rivers, who added her unique flair and fashion to the evening, and Hella Swagg, whose magnetic energy captivated the audience. Additionally, Glass Staine ensured that every moment was filled with drama and spark, literally, and Rozz Aura, was mesmerizing with her poise and zest.

The overall event unfolded in two thrilling sets, each punctuated by moments of sheer delight and unabashed celebration of drag culture. From high-energy lip-syncs to soul-stirring dance moves, the performances transported attendees to a realm where self-expression reigned supreme and authenticity was celebrated. Tatianna’s performances concluded both sets and the stage was electrified as she delivered lip-syncs so mesmerizing, that it left the audience in awe, hanging on every perfectly mimed word and captivated by the sheer intensity of the performances.

At the show’s close, she took to the stage one last time to bid a final farewell to the crowd. “Did we have fun tonight?” as she asks for a tequila shot to toast the occasion. After getting handed the shot from the bar she says, “If you have a drink put it in the air. This is a cheers to you all. Thank you for coming out.” The event concluded with a group photo on stage of the night’s cast as event-goers danced the night away.
