Connecticut’s beloved drag queen and RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 star Loosey LaDuca has recently released her highly anticipated new music EP, Zombie Boyfriend, following the success of her viral sensation ‘Let Loose’, and she couldn’t be prouder. Describing the EP as fun, spooky, and deeply personal, Loosey shared her excitement with fans on social media, saying that she set out to create music she’d want to listen to in her car – and she feels she accomplished exactly that. Earlier last month, Loosey thrilled fans with the release of the first single, ‘You, Me, and The Devil’, offering a tantalizing glimpse into her upcoming EP Zombie Boyfriend. Loosey has always had a deep-seated passion for Halloween and all things horror, a love that became evident during her time on RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she was one of the first three contestants from Connecticut. Known for her spooky drag aesthetic, Loosey’s adoration for classic horror films – particularly the Friday the 13th franchise – is hard to miss, especially with a tattoo of Jason’s iconic hockey mask etched on the back of her leg. Throughout season 15, Loosey showcased her love for the macabre with striking looks, including a female Jason Voorhees-inspired outfit on the “Beautiful Nightmare” runway and a stunning zombie diva ensemble during the “Rip Her to Shreds” challenge.

At the grand finale, she wowed the audience in an epic dead-Queen look, complete with black lace and a black wire crown that caged an exposed brain in a neon green Victorian-style wig. Loosey described her finale ensemble on social media as a “love letter to the queer horror community,” perfectly encapsulating her passion for the spooky and the fabulous.

Yesterday, she unveiled a jaw-dropping music video for ‘Zombie Boyfriend’, the lead single from her new album of the same name. Directed by Sam Pelissero, the video stars Loosey LaDuca and Justin Mock, who brings her undead beau to life in a performance that’s equal parts camp and captivating. Featuring a cast of Connecticut’s finest local drag performers, including Ambrosia Black, the ConnecticutDrag.com Person of the Year, along with Felicity V.
