This past Friday, Yvie stopped at Barnes & Noble in West Hartford on Isham Road as part of her nationwide tour promoting her best-selling memoir, All About Yvie: Into The Oddity. In an interview with Us Weekly, Drag Race alum Yvie Oddly revealed that while she’s known for speaking her mind, there were still personal details she chose to leave out of her memoir, deeming them too intimate to share. Despite this, Yvie described the writing process as therapeutic, collaborating with co-writer Michael Bach and drawing insights from friends, family, and fellow Drag Race queens. We asked if there was anything in the book she was nervous about including, Yvie responded with her trademark wit and a touch of honesty: “Only if I said that I wasn’t Christian in the book anywhere because my grandma is still alive,” followed by her infectious laugh, hinting at the possible disappointment it might cause her grandmother.
