From making it onto the fifteenth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race to walking the red carpet at the MTV VMAs, Robin Fierce continues to imprint her mark on pop culture proudly representing the Connecticut drag community. Our state’s own Robin Fierce continues to break records and help change the narrative placed around drag culture. Robin was the first drag Queen to raise the Pride flag at our state capital, the first drag queen to guest speak at Yale University while hosting a drag queen story hour this past February, and was one of the first contestants to reside in the state of Connecticut when they competed on RuPaul’s Drag Race.

No stranger to the media, Robin has appeared in numerous online interviews and local news broadcasts highlighting her past achievements. And in true Fierce fashion, she is at it again. Robin appeared on the local news show, NBC’s CT Live with Taylor Kinzler, wearing a stunning orange gown accessorized with gold jewelry, perfect for the fall season. Taylor complimented Robin on her dress and Robin responded, “I figured I would give you a fall time moment. We’re ready for Halloween, we’re really ready for Thanksgiving, I don’t want to rush people, but I want to eat.” Anyone that knows Robin Fierce knows she does love her food and loves to eat!

On CT Live, Robin spoke about her experience on RuPaul’s Drag Race and talked about the importance of representation. She mentioned how important representation is during a time where drag artists and the LGBTQ+ community are trying to be stripped of their rights in many places in our country and around the world. Her presence on mainstream news is helping to change the narrative because drag queens have unfortunately had a negative stigma placed around their community.

Robin tells Taylor, “Just to be able to do the thing that I love and have it inspire other people and also to be able to have them see someone like them or someone that they didn’t know was like them do something that is their passion.” Robin appearing on mainstream news now puts a real drag queen into the living rooms of the average family home all around Connecticut on a network geared toward the average demographic that will hopefully help to paint a new image portraying drag queens and rewrite the narrative surrounding the art.

Robin also invited viewers to check out her new social media series, I’m Coming Out, that shares the coming out stories of members of the LGBTQ+ community in honor of National Coming Out Day on October 11th. She live streams, offering her guests the opportunity to tell about their coming of age story in an interview-style setting. The title of the show is fitting following the release, earlier this year, of her cover ‘I’m Coming Out’ available for download on popular streaming platforms.

Robin and season 15 hometown sisters Loosey LaDuca and Amethyst are the first contestants to reside in the state of Connecticut when they competed on RuPaul’s Drag Race. As mother of the Haus of Fierce, she is drag matriarch to local drag artists Natalia Fierce, Dro Lopez-Fierce and Angelina Fierce. The name ‘Robin’ is an homage to season 2 and All Stars season 1 runner-up Raven. Robin also wanted a bird for her drag name. ‘Fierce’ comes for what her drag is “no matter what.” You can catch Robin serving her bad-bitchery every month at the Chez Est in Hartford, CT for her show, Forever Fierce.
