Pride month continues in Connecticut with West Hartford’s Pride presented by the West Hartford Pride Center. This year’s festivities were hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race, Season 15, Loosey LaDuca. 

The rain did not stop this community from celebrating. Drag fans everywhere endured the pouring rain as the skies opened from time to time during this year’s drag performances. The Queens and Kings of West Hartford Pride also were not deterred as they lip-synced the house down… well, tent down.

Loosey hosted the days events’ and also performed live The Little Mermaid’s ‘Part of Your World’ as well as ‘My Heart Will Go On’ by Celine Dion. 

This year’s West Hartford pride drag performances included Astra, Bleach, Crystal Starz, Destiny Nations Royal, Enigma Jones, Ethel Deluxe, Giri Spades, Harmony The Valkyrie, Jehloni, Kenya Mone Heart, Lady Tatiana, Mia E. Z’Lay, Midnight, Moxie Angel, Natalia Fierce, Rozz Aura, Sapphire Bills, Xiomarie LaBeija, and Zella Cullature.

Loosey LaDuca, from Ansonia, CT, landed on the main stage this past season, Season 15, of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Loosey fought her way each week, where she made it to the top five, but was eliminated during the family resemblance makeover challenge, being robbed of her spot at the grand finale. 

During the pride celebration, we asked LaDuca if she would ever agree to participate in RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. Her response, “Yes, but not right now. Maybe in a couple of years.” Loosey feels she has so much she wants to do and so much she wants to accomplish to allow herself to grow into an even stronger drag queen, before she decides to possibly partake in an All Stars season.

Other performers throughout the day included J.Santino, Sister Funk, Carrie Ashton, Brain Falduto, and Zoe Lewis.
